Sakshi
(Saksi, Saakshi) is a Telugu news daily headquartered in Hyderabad, India. It was launched on 23th March 2008,by the then governor of A.P. N.D.TIWARI

Sakshi was brought out in 23 multi-colored editions(one edition per district) by Jagati Publication of which Y.S. Jaganmohan reddy, son of Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, is the chairman.

Sakshi, with 30+ Pages, is colourful, reader friendly format, more clarity in news stories and easy segmentation of political, business, entertainment and sports news and use of the latest printing technology. It is priced at 2 Rupees, which is a Rupee less than the competing Telugu papers and on par with the existing english dailies in India.

The paper has been designed by well-known newspaper designer Mario Garcia, and claims to have an initial print run of more than 11 lakhs. The claims have yet to be substantiated by any known standards. Its aim is to compete with the current leader, Eenadu, in the Telugu market, which, as per ABC figures for July-December 2007, has an all India average net paid circulation of 11,76,028 copies.

Sakshi is toying with three taglines, though ‘Unnadhi Unnatuga’, which means ‘Fact as it is’, is most likely to find favor.

The Group is also launching a news channels platform by launching Sakshi TV by October 08, and again, as a competetion to ETV and GEMINI TV and TV9.
